About Robert A. Sternberg APLC
Our approach is different. We act more like team members, advisors, or management consultants than what you think of for the role of the traditional lawyer.
Don’t have the need for a full-time legal department? We provide your business with the same services that in-house counsel would…but without the overhead.
We have identified this form of client-focused lawyering as “litigation avoidance.” Simply by choosing the right attorney and defining the relationship, litigation avoidance can be the rule and not the exception.
We are different. Robert A. Sternberg APLC

Amanda H. Russo
Of Counsel
Having developed a passion for business matters early on, Amanda H. Mawer joined Robert A. Sternberg, APLC as an associate attorney to devote that passion towards helping clients in all aspects of their business affairs.
Amanda takes pride in being available to her clients for whatever needs arise. Whether it be helping a client choose the best type of entity for their individualized needs and developing the necessary agreements to get their business started, advising business clients on the countless issues that arise during the course of business, or helping them map their succession plans, Amanda finds great joy in acting as in-house counsel for companies that do not have their own full-time legal departments. Clients often express their gratitude for Amanda’s ability to craft creative solutions to problems keeping them up at night. She now provides services as an of counsel attorney to the clients of Sternberg & Associates.
In addition to business services, Amanda’s clients find great value in the care and detail Amanda takes when assisting clients in creating their estate plans. Amanda acknowledges that while estate planning is something many people tend to shy away from or postpone, a proper estate plan can often be the crucial factor in easing the burdens and stress that come with dealing with the illness or death of a loved one.
Whether resulting from unforeseen circumstances or the natural progression of life, she understands that no one wants to be unprepared. Whether a client is a high net worth individual who needs a complex plan to avoid or minimize their estate tax liability, or has a modest income with some children and a home they want to protect, Amanda knows those goals are worth protecting and tailors each client’s plan to suit their individual needs.
Amanda H. Mawer received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2014. She earned her B.S. in business and her B.A. in economics from California State University Channel Islands in 2010. Amanda is a member of the California and San Fernando Valley Bar Associations.
